Vocational & Life Skills Training

At Mrumate Disabled Centre, our Vocational & Life Skills Training program is designed to empower children and youth with disabilities by equipping them with practical skills and essential knowledge for independent living. We focus on teaching trades, entrepreneurship, and everyday life skills that help participants develop confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to contribute positively to their families and communities. Through vocational training in areas such as tailoring, handicrafts, carpentry, and digital skills, children gain hands-on experience that can lead to income-generating opportunities. In addition, life skills lessons—including communication, problem-solving, time management, and personal hygiene—prepare them for the challenges of daily life and social interaction. Our program also emphasizes mentorship and guidance, helping youth set goals, make informed decisions, and transition smoothly into adulthood. By combining practical skills with personal development, the Vocational & Life Skills Training program ensures that children with disabilities are empowered to lead productive, fulfilling, and independent lives.
